Carrus24 is a service of MaFa IT-Consultancy BV, Schoolstraat 11, 3630 Maasmechelen, Belgium (Company number: 1010.364.074, VAT: BE1010364074). We are the controller responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this policy.

What Data We Collect

We collect data you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, company details, and vehicle listings. We also automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, and usage patterns through log files and cookies.

For professional users we additionally collect VAT number, company address, contact person, and opening hours to build your dealer profile.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: provide our services (posting and searching listings), manage your account, verify VAT numbers, send transactional emails (login codes, confirmations), and improve our services through analytical data.

Legal Basis for Processing

Processing of your data is based on: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for service delivery, legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) for VAT verification, and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for analytics and fraud prevention.

Retention Period

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is erased within 90 days unless statutory retention obligations apply.

Sharing of Data

We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We use processors such as Supabase / Azure Cloud Services (database and hosting, EU) and transactional email services. Data processing agreements are in place with all processors.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can exercise these rights via support@carrus24.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (GBA), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

Cookies

We use functional cookies that are necessary for the operation of the service (session management, language preference). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Communications are encrypted via HTTPS and passwords are never stored in readable form.
